Paste a link from a Teams channel and every new comment on your project arrives there as a card with its screenshot. It takes about two minutes, and it works on every plan, including Free.
Connect it
- Make the link in Teams
Open the channel's ⋯ menu and choose Workflows. Pick “Post to a channel when a webhook request is received”, follow its steps, and copy the link it shows at the end.
- Open the project's settings
In ReviewMySites, use Settings in the ⋯ on the project's card or the gear on its board, then choose Integrations. You need to be an owner or admin.
- Add Microsoft Teams
Press Add, paste the link, and give the channel a name so you can recognise it later.
- Send a test
It posts a real card from your project's latest comment.
What arrives in the channel
A card with the comment's number and project, the author's words, the screenshot, the details you chose in two columns, any attached files as links, and buttons for View on site and View in ReviewMySites.
The card waits a moment for the screenshot before it posts, because Teams cannot add the picture afterwards.
What is different from Slack
Teams' workflow links are one-way, which sets a few limits worth knowing up front:
- Cards cannot be edited. A card shows the comment as it was when posted.
- No threads. A workflow cannot reply under its own card.
- The sender says Workflows. Teams names the sender itself, so the card carries our name and logo at the top instead.
Getting updates as well
Since an update cannot go in a thread, each one would be a new post in the channel. So by default a Teams connection posts new comments and nothing after them, which keeps the channel readable.
If you do want them, turn on Post updates as new messages in What to send. Replies, status changes and edits each become a post of their own.
