From nothing to your first pinned comment in about five minutes: create a project, paste one line into your site, open a review link, and click on what you want changed.
The four steps
- Create a free account
Sign up at app.reviewmysites.com with Google or an email address. The Free plan needs no card. Your account comes with its first workspace, and you can create more later.
- Create a project for your site
Give it a name and the address of the site you want reviewed, for example https://acme.com. A project is one website: its comments, its board and the people on it.
- Add the script to your site
Open the project's Connect panel, copy the script and paste it into your site's head. It is one line and already carries your project.
- Open a review link
Visit any page of your site with ?rms added to the address. The review bar appears in the corner. Press Comment, click anything, and say what is wrong.
The script
It looks like this, with your own project in place of the example:
HTML · paste into <head><script src="https://app.reviewmysites.com/embed.js"
data-rms-project="YOUR-PROJECT-ID" async></script>Copy yours from the Connect panel rather than typing it. The panel then watches for the script and turns green (Connected) the first time your site loads it. Platform by platform instructions are in Add the script to your site.
Open your first review link
Take any address on your site and add ?rms: https://acme.com/pricing?rms. If the address already has a question mark, add &rms instead. Send that link to anyone you want feedback from. More on what a link can do in Review links.
Leave your first comment
Press Comment on the bar, or Alt + C (⌥ Con a Mac). Hover and the element under your cursor is outlined. Click it, type what you want changed, and send. A numbered pin appears on the element, and the comment appears on your project's board with a screenshot, the browser, the screen size and the page it was left on.
Next
Bring in the people who give the feedback: Share with clients and your team. Then work through what comes in on the board.
