Add the script to your site

One line in your site’s head. Webflow, WordPress, Framer, Shopify, Wix, Next.js and more.

ReviewMySites runs on any site that lets you add a script tag. Paste one line into the site's head, publish, and the project's Connect panel turns green.

Copy your script

In the app, open your project and its Connect panel, then press Copy script. It looks like this, with your project in place of the example:

HTML · paste into <head><script src="https://app.reviewmysites.com/embed.js"
        data-rms-project="YOUR-PROJECT-ID" async></script>

Paste it as high in the page as your platform allows, ideally inside <head>. Just before </body> works too. Add it to every page you want reviewed; most platforms have one place that covers the whole site.

Copy it from the live appA script copied from a local or preview copy of the dashboard points at that copy, and a live site cannot reach it. The Connect panel warns you when that is the case.

Platform by platform

Plain HTML

Paste the line inside <head> of each page, or of the shared header template, and upload.

Webflow

  1. Site settings, then Custom code

    Paste the script into Head code and save.

  2. Publish

    Custom code runs on the published site, not inside the Designer, so publish before you test.

WordPress and WooCommerce

The simplest way is a plugin that adds code to your site's header (many free ones exist). Paste the script into its header box and save. If you manage your theme's code yourself, paste it into the theme's header.php before </head>, ideally in a child theme so an update does not remove it.

Framer

Open Site Settings, find Custom Code, and paste the script into the box for the end of the <head> tag. Publish the site.

Shopify

In Online Store, open your theme's menu and choose Edit code. Open layout/theme.liquid, paste the script just before </head>, and save.

Wix

In your site's dashboard, open Settings and then Custom code. Add new code, paste the script, choose All pages and place it in the Head. Wix may ask you to connect a domain before it allows custom code.

Squarespace

Find Code injection in your site settings and paste the script into the Headerbox. Code injection is available on Squarespace's paid plans.

Ghost

In Settings, open Code injection and paste the script into Site header.

Next.js

Use next/script in your root layout. Extra attributes pass through to the tag:

app/layout.tsx · Next.jsimport Script from 'next/script';

export default function RootLayout({ children }) {
  return (
    <html lang="en">
      <body>
        {children}
        <Script
          src="https://app.reviewmysites.com/embed.js"
          data-rms-project="YOUR-PROJECT-ID"
          strategy="afterInteractive"
        />
      </body>
    </html>
  );
}

React, Vue, Svelte, Astro and other builds

Paste the line into the HTML shell your build starts from (usually index.html, or your framework's root layout) so it is on every page. No package to install.

Check that it worked

Open your site once the change is live. The Connect panel turns green and says Connected on its own, usually within seconds. Then add ?rms to the address and the review bar appears.

Wrong domain?The script only runs on the domain your project was created for, with or without www. If the panel says it found the script on another domain, move the script or change the project's URL. A staging site on a different domain is best as a project of its own.

If your site sends a Content Security Policy

Sites with a strict policy block scripts from other domains until they are allowed. If the bar does not appear and your browser console shows Content Security Policy errors, allow https://app.reviewmysites.com in script-src, style-src, frame-src and connect-src.

Still nothing? The review bar does not appear walks through every cause we know of.
